Welcome To Term 3! (2023-2024)

We are excited to have you all back for the final stretch of the 2023 – 2024 academic year. Gratitude fills our hearts as we acknowledge God’s protection and provisions thus far. With unwavering hope, we trust in His continued guidance and blessings throughout this term. A very special welcome to all new parents and students joining the Marigold family. We are excited to embark on this journey together. Once again, welcome! As always, this term also promises to be exceptional, with a plethora of activities, 1 fun, and enriched academic contents. We believe that education is a collaborative journey, and we encourage parents and guardians to be actively involved in your child’s learning. Attend parent-teacher meetings, stay updated on school events, and communicate openly with your child’s teachers. Your support and engagement are invaluable in shaping their success and lasting memories!

Reminders Please

1. Reopening

School resumes on the 16th of April 2024. Just as God graciously kept us safe last term, we trust in His continued protection and guidance for the upcoming term. Let’s continue to offer Him all praise and glory for His blessings.

2. Reporting Time

School gates open at 6:30 AM, with classes commencing at 8:00 AM. Kindly ensure your wards arrive punctually to make the most of our morning routines. Your cooperation greatly contributes to their positive learning experience.

3. Snacks

Parents, please ensure your children have snacks; please refrain from requesting staff to buy snacks for your wards. This ensures a 2 smooth school routine. We thank you for your understanding in this.

4. International Olympiads

Marigold proudly participates in the Ghana Olympiad Academy programs, offering students valuable opportunities to engage in international Olympiad examinations. This exposure not only enhances their academic skills but also provides them with national and international recognition. Last year, our participation yielded remarkable results, with our students securing 2 gold, 7 silver, and 5 bronze medals. Congratulations to all the students who contributed to this success! We encourage parents to register their wards for this enriching experience. The registration fee is GHS 100.00. Let’s empower our students to excel on both national and international platforms.

NB: Registration fees are to be paid before the competition date.

5. Primary Cambridge Checkpoint Examination

Our Year 6 students will soon take their first Primary Cambridge Checkpoint Examination in June. We’re working hard to prepare them diligently and wish them the best of luck!

6. School Fees

We want to stress the importance of timely school fee payments for the smooth operation of our institution. Prompt payments are essential for maintaining high standards, creating a conducive learning environment, and fulfilling commitments such as staff salaries and infrastructure upkeep. Your cooperation is crucial for the financial stability of the school, enabling us to invest in initiatives that enhance the educational experience.We understand that challenges may arise, and we encourage open communication to find collaborative solutions that benefit both your family and the school community. 7. Installment Payment

Please note that the school offers a three installment option for school fee payments. We kindly request that either the full amount or the first installment be paid before the day of school reopening. Thank you for your cooperation.

Please note:

1. We appeal to parents who pay by installment to treat the payment deadlines as deadlines – and if possible, make payment ahead of time. Kindly note that payment deadlines will be strictly enforced.

2. Parents, please ensure the first installment fees are paid before the reopening day to support the efficient functioning of the school. Your ongoing support and cooperation are greatly appreciated.

9. Uniforms

Parents, please ensure your children wear the approved uniform, style, and color to school. We recommend using the school’s Seamstress/Tailor for uniform consistency. Students not in proper uniform will not be allowed into the classroom. Thank you for your cooperation.

Mondays – Wednesday

Prescribed uniform with black-leather shoes and black socks.

Thursday

Polo shirt with jeans, black sneakers and black socks.

Friday

Jersey, black shoes and black socks

10. Extra Curriculum Activities

Marigold collaborates with various organizations to offer students activities such as Piano Skills, Swimming, Robotics, Taekwondo, and Ballet. Parents interested in enrolling their children in any of these activities should contact the administration for more details.

11. After School Care

School closes at 3:00pm, and parents have one hour to pick up their wards. Pupils picked up after 4:00pm will be charged for after-school care. After School Care fees are as follows:

4:00pm-5:00pm : GHS 20
5:00pm-6:00pm : GHS 30

12. Feeding

Feeding is optional and paid monthly in advance. Please make payments via the school’s Momo number 0243373001; Do not pay at the bank! After payment, you’ll receive a link to choose your ward’s monthly meal. Feeding fees per meal are as follows:
Preschool: GHS 20:00
Primary: GHS 22:00
